Jadrija is a city district in Šibenik. It is located on a peninsula at the entrance of the St. Anthony channel leading to Šibenik.
Jadrija is a rather quiet place on a perfect location for active holidays almost during the whole year offering a plenty of options for different activities for families with kids, teenagers, sportsmen, seniors but also for party seekers.
It’s a popular seaside resort and many locals have their summerhouses there. Jadrija city beach has been a favorite beach for Šibenik residents and its guests established in 1921. Jadrija beach is a pebble beach about 1000 m long. Jadrija was logged into the registry of protected Croatian cultural heritage architectural sites. The closest night life areas are located in Šibenik and Vodice, both less than 15 minutes by car from Jadrija. Do not expect night life on Jadrija.
Transportation
Šibenik and Vodice are by car less than 15 minutes away.

In the summertime there is a public boat to and from Šibenik. You need about 20 minutes to reach Šibenik by boat from Jadrija. See MAP for location of the boat in Jadrija. Feel free to ask your host for an updated timetable.
Closest airports with international flights are in Split and Zadar. Both are about 70 km from Jadrija (less than 1 hour by car). Information about daily shuttle bus from Šibenik to Split and Zadar airports are available at www.sibenik.hr/bus .
Shop
There is a small shop providing basic foods, drinks, fruits, vegetables, toiletries and newspapers. See MAP. Shop is open from June to September. Payment with credit cards is possible.
Supermarkets and city markets are available in Šibenik and Vodice.
Restaurants and Bars
There is one restaurant, one pizzeria and few coffee bars in Jadrija. See MAP.

Wind Surfing
Jadrija is one of the best places in Croatia to wind surf. The wind surf season starts in March and lasts up to December.

Kite-surfing is also possible.

Each year in August a Jadrija swimming marathon (2.000 m) is organized.
Jadrija is almost always windy and is an excellent location for kites. Kids will enjoy the open space on the beach with their kites.
